On Jun.16th, 2009 International Textile & Apparel Supply Chain Forum holds its Press Release in Beijing. 2009 International Textile & Apparel Supply Chain Forum is to be held on Jul.23rd-24th in Humen Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province with a theme on Quality and Efficiency in Textile & Apparel Supply Chain.

Currently, Chinese textile and apparel industry are facing great challenges. To strengthen the management of supply chain, creating a harmonious, healthy and sustainable development of the textile and garment supply chain.

Under this circumstance, the discussion and communication for the forum will focus quality and efficiency, in textile and apparel supply chain, covering the following topics: quality standardization & sustainability in China, supply chain efficiency & brand and logistic management in China, forecast accuracy and quick response. Supply chain efficiency involves information flow, logistics and cash flow, which are the key elements of enterprise competitiveness.

In line with event themes, the forum has invited domestic and international enterprises from textile and apparel supply chain. including: domestic leading textile and apparel industrial cluster, renowned textile fabric, textile accessories, dyeing and finishing, creative design and garment brand enterprises, other domestic and international renowned brand buyer will also attend the forum. It is one of China’s largest manufacturers for garment accessories integrating design, development, production and sales, and it also the leading enterprise on the forefront of the supply chain.

Humen Association of Apparel & Ornaments Industries, Dongguan City and China Light Textile City construction management committee, Shaoxing County, Zhejiang Province, are taking part as co-organizers. Humen town is an important ‘Chinese Female Dressmaking City’, with the remarkable characteristics of regional economy. In 2006, Humen was approved among the second batch of Guangdong Province Industrial Cluster Upgrading Pilot Zone. During China Apparel Exhibition in 2007, as the only government body, Humen was awarded ‘2005 – 2006 China Apparel Brands Promotion Award’ by China National Garment Association (CNGA). That same year, ‘Humen Costume Design and Manufacturing Specialty Industrial Base was listed in Torch Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Humen has successfully held 13 sessions of China (Humen) International Apparel Trade Fair, and has greatly promoted the development of apparel industry. Currently, Humen is committed to building regional brands in Humen apparel industry, accelerating the development of independent brand through regional brand building, to promoting industrial upgrading, improving regional image, consolidating the long lasting competitiveness of Humen industrial cluster.

Shaoxing Keqiao is an important textile industrial cluster in China. There is a saying in the industry: world textile depends on China, China textile depends on Shaoxing. China Light Textile City is the window of textile industry in Yangtze River Delta with an important position in the industry. It will demonstrate new vitality in the wake of the new development. The forum shall create the concept of ‘Humen in the South, Keqiao in the North’, promote the effective integration of the supply chain in textile and apparel industry, so as to achieve a win-win situation through strong co-operation.
The supporter for the event is Zhejiang Haining Warp Knitting Industrial Park. The park is the biggest warp knitting industrial base in China, which has been named as ‘the Capital of China Warp Knitting’. It is committed to becoming ‘the Capital of World Warp Knitting’. During the Forum, the organizing committee shall hold an industry supply chain matchmaking meeting for textile, dyeing and finishing enterprises in Yangtze River Delta and Apparel enterprises in Pearl River Delta. Besides, as an important part of this forum, from 30th May to 6th June, 2009, led by Mr. Ruizhe Sun, Deputy Director of China Textile Industry Association, the Chinese delegation with delegates from domestic renowned textile and apparel enterprises as well as textile and apparel industry cluster, attended「U Connect 2009」in the U.S., They had business meetings with international renowned brands, suppliers and buyers, and also publicised and promoted this forum.

2009 International Textile & Apparel Supply Chain Forum has no doubt provided a publicity and communication platform for China Textile and Apparel Enterprise in supply chain quality control, brand channel building, rapid response and other aspects. Then, numerous textile, apparel enterprises and renowned brands from home and abroad will get together in Humen.
